Mark brings to The Oncology Group and its affiliated companies a background that combines more than a decade of corporate, entrepreneurial and community service experience. His expertise includes small business ownership; project management; financial planning and analysis; accounting and operations; administrative and office management; recruiting and human resources; and nonprofit startup.

Before joining The Oncology Group, Mark was a consultant and owner of MAB Consulting, which provided financial and business consulting services to small to mid-sized companies. Services included expense analysis and management, AP/AR, accounting statements, budgeting, forecasting, and growth planning and management.

He was a financial planning and analysis manager for Newell Rubbermaid, responsible for the company’s financial planning, analysis, reporting & budgeting functions, and served as director of finance/controller for Bone Bank Allografts, a $5 million medical services company.

Mark’s career also includes managerial and director positions at The Limited, Inc, Western Auto and Hallmark Cards.

A significant part of Mark’s experience includes community service. Mark created a new nonprofit, Homeless, Inc., dedicated to helping the homeless obtain employment. As executive director, he led efforts that included comprehensive career and life planning; job and skill training; case management; client counseling and advocacy; and job searching, placement and retention. At the Junior Chamber of Commerce in Kansas City, Missouri, Mark held a variety of leadership positions including chairman of the board, president, vice president, and treasurer.

Mark graduated with highest honors with bachelor’s degree in business administration in 1988 from the University of Memphis. He received his MBA from The University of Texas at Austin in 1990.
