Dr. Trump's career includes cancer research, executive leadership, board service and clinical practice at some of the country's most esteemed institutions. As a Senior Consultant with The Oncology Group, he assists clients by applying his insights and firsthand experience navigating the National Cancer Institute (NCI) cancer center designation process. During his career he has served as a clinician, a principal investigator for multiple Cancer Center Support grants, President and Chief Executive Officer for Roswell Park Cancer Institute (RPCI) and an External Advisory Board member for NCI-designated cancer centers as well as programs pursuing NCI designation.

He has held clinical positions at The Johns Hopkins University, University of Wisconsin, Duke University, University of Pittsburgh, State University of New York at Buffalo and Roswell Park Cancer Institute. His multidisciplinary experience juggling the many responsibilities of clinician, scientist and administrator imparts a comprehensive, practical approach to challenges and solutions.

Dr. Trump's knowledge of the survey process during site visits for programs applying for a Cancer Center Support Grant allows him to provide insight on ways organizations should prioritize and promote specific programs in order to achieve NCI designation. He has been involved all aspects of the application process and understands all that the site visit involves: reviews of treatment, research, education and outreach efforts as well as the expectations the NCI has for each of these respective areas.

He has also been a Principal Investigator (PI) and Co-PI on multiple grants that have supported his clinical and basic research efforts. As the PI for Roswell Park Cancer Institute's Cancer Center Support Grant, he was involved in all aspects of developing the grant application. His firsthand knowledge of the application process enables programs pursuing NCI-designation to understand how the NCI reviews applications.

Honors bestowed upon Dr. Trump include the Distinguished Alumnus Award at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, the Joseph Burchenal Lectureship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Institute, multiple years being named in Best Doctors in America and inclusion in Who's Who in America, Science and Engineering.

Dr. Trump is a graduate of The Johns Hopkins University, earning a degree in human biology as well as his M.D. He also completed postgraduate work and medical oncology fellowship there.
