Cynthia Boudreaux

Ms. Boudreaux has worked in the healthcare field for more than 20 years. She began her career as a Licensed Practical Nurse and then moved to the cancer registry field, earning her CTR (Certified Tumor Registrar) in 1997.

Cynthia now offers her expertise as an independent contract abstractor and consultant for more than 12 hospitals within the New Orleans region, as well as nationally, as owner and manager of her own abstracting and consulting company.

Cynthia has served as the NCRA (National Cancer Registrars Association) Liaison to the American Joint Committee on Cancer and on NCRA's Board of Directors for the Midwest region. She served as President of the LCRA (Louisiana Cancer Registrars Association) for two terms and the Chair of LCRA's Education Committee. She is currently on the CSv2 (The Collaborative Staging Data Collection System version 2) Education and Training Team and served as leader of that team for two years. She is a member of the Standards Advisory Group under the Commission on Cancer's Accreditation program and member of the Collaborate Stage Core AJCC (American Joint Committee on Cancer) 8th edition workgroup.

Cynthia is on the Field Staff Committee for the Commission on Cancer (CoC) and a trained Independent Cancer Program Consultant with extensive training on the accreditation program patient-centered care standards. Additionally, she is on the Board and on the Standards and Accreditation Committee of the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC).
