IT has become one area that either differentiates a cancer program or is defined as one of the institution’s key weaknesses in delivering integrated care across a hospital and its affiliated private practice physicians. The ability of physicians to access, in real time, diagnostic studies, and other modality physicians’ notes forms either a platform for multidisciplinary planning or a weakness in the program’s care delivery model.
